Beaton

Biography

Katie Beaton used to draw when she was little and people told her she was good at it and she believed them.  Since then it has become obvious they were just being nice but she never stopped drawing and now makes comics when she should be doing more important things.  She was made to figure skate in tight outfits when she was a pudgy child and this has resulted in years of cripplingly low self esteem that eventually translated into hilarious things for you to read.  Her father thinks she needs a career and reminds her of it on a regular basis.

Where is she from?

I’m glad you asked.  Katie Beaton is from Mabou, and you’ve probably never heard of that.  But if you go to Nova Scotia and follow the sounds of people talking about drinking and fishing and going to church you’ll walk right into it.

What about education?

Katie Beaton spent tons of cash and got a BA from Mount Allison University and thinks the subjects she took were most interesting but now she has no money.  To further crappify her situation, even though she has this expensive degree, simple concepts often elude her and sometimes she walks into things.

This biography sucks!

Yes well I mean, Katie Beaton’s said degree is not in Creative Writing or Literature is it.

OK how often does this site update?

Um, hopefully quite often!  Right now it’s about once a week.  There is no RSS feed, when a new website is built, there will be.

Is that all?

Yeah I guess so.  Katie Beaton is really boring in person and eats maple syrup on things which her sisters think is gross.  She is related to everyone in Cape Breton.  Nobody needed to know that, and now we have already typed too much.

Does she often talk in the third person or the royal we?

As the author of this autobiography I would have to say yes.

Man just what is the deal here

Hi, internet!  My name is Katie.  I have an email you can write to if you want, this is it (I can’t reply to everyone but I try!):

I also have a livejournal where you can comment on a comic if you’re into that sort of thing, and this is it:
